SCHOOL MEDICAL SERVICE
A qualified Sister, from the NSW Department of Health, will test children prior to the commencement of Kindergarten. Parents will be responsible for arranging a time for this testing.
SICKNESS EXCLUSION TABLES
From time to time young children catch a variety of contagious diseases.
The NSW Health Department has produced a detailed chart outlining the symptoms and signs, how long a child should be isolated or excluded from school, and how long contacts should be excluded. A copy of this chart is held in the school office. Diseases listed are:
Acute Conjunctivitis, Chicken Pox, , Glandular Fever, Infectious Hepatitis, Measles, Rubella, Whooping Cough, Impetigo Pediculosis (Head Lice), Ringworm, Scabies, Mumps
EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBER
In the interest of your child's health and safety, it is essential that the school has at least one reliable emergency telephone contact, other than a parent's number. Sick and injured children become extremely distressed when contact cannot be made with a parent or a reliable family member or friend.
